Open Calls for Visual Stories from Open House Athens and Open House Slovenia! Submit your take on Accessibility and Inclusion
14.04.2024
With the return of Open House Europe for its second season, a new series of Open Calls for Visual Stories has been launched. We invite visitors of Open House Athens and Open House Slovenia to highlight the significance of accessibility and inclusion in the city and the memorable experiences encountered during the festivals.
This year, Open House Europe draws attention to how architectural design and urban planning can prioritise inclusivity and make cities more accommodating for all individuals, regardless of their varied abilities, appearances, social backgrounds, and other characteristics.
We invite visitors of Open House Europe partner festivals across Europe to join us in capturing this year’s theme of Accessibility and Inclusion. Whether through a photo series, a short film, a drawing, or any other form of visual storytelling, we encourage you to freely express and creatively interpret the theme!
Up to three selected Visual Stories from each Open House festival will be showcased at an exhibition in Dublin as part of the Open House Europe Annual Summit 2025. Furthermore, chosen works will also be featured in a printed publication, reaching a wider audience, and on the Open House Europe website for global visibility.
At the end of the year, the creators of three outstanding Visual Stories will earn a trip to the Annual Summit in Dublin or a preferred Open House Europe partner festival of their choice!
The deadline for submissions is set to one month after the conclusion of each festival.
