Open Call for Guest Cities
The Open Call for Guest Cities is for organisations that seek to host or have already hosted their first Open House event. It is a great opportunity to get to know the Open House community in Europe and beyond. Moreover, the three selected organisations will have an opportunity to attend the Annual Summit with all expenses covered, and their programmes will be represented on the Open House Europe website and Digital Atlas.
Proposal
We invite three selected organisations to the Annual Summit in Dublin, Ireland, set for January 2025, with travel and accommodation costs covered. This event will explore the annual themes and foster knowledge exchange and experiences between the Open House community in Europe and other continents. Guest Cities will gain valuable insights about best practices for organising an Open House festival. In addition, the selected ones will be on the Digital Platform, an interactive digital atlas that will be accessible through our website and mobile application.
Eligibility
To qualify as a Guest City, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- be established as companies, associations or organisations that have already established an Open House festival in their city or are just planning to organise their first event;
- be established in countries eligible for Creative Europe funding (the current list can be found here: https://culture.ec.europa.eu/creative-europe/about-the-creative-europe-programme);
- align with and contribute to the Open House Worldwide values.
Application
All eligible organisations can apply by completing the form below. The deadline for submissions is August 16, 2024.
Evaluation and selection process
Open House Europe partners will assess the applicant’s motivation. The selection criteria will prioritise emerging organisers eager to develop their festivals and become better acquainted with the Open House community in Europe.
Selected applicants will be informed by September 30.
