Open House Zagreb

Open House Zagreb
The second edition of Open House Zagreb will take place from October 18 to 20 and will present 40 unique sites throughout the city.
Open House Zagreb is organising this year’s programme into four key sections. Revitalisation of Architectural Heritage will highlight the restoration of buildings after the earthquake, offering insights into the renovation of heritage structures. A tribute to Viktor Kovačić will mark 150 years since his birth and 100 years since his death, celebrating his legacy as the father of modern Croatian architecture. Urban Ensembles will highlight key areas of the city that captivate both locals and tourists. Lastly, Meet the Architect will host talks with prominent architects like Hildegard Auf-Franić, Branko Silađin, and Milan Šosterič.
The festival promotes some of Zagreb’s most striking architectural achievements and facilitates interactions between the public and architects, builders, investors, and property owners. Open House Zagreb encourages reflection on the city’s values and the role its inhabitants play in its creation, urging them to advocate for well-planned, thoughtfully designed environments. This also involves considering how architecture addresses ecological, social, and economic sustainability.
