Open House Bilbao was first launched in 2017 and now offers free visits to more than 60 unique spaces accompanied by volunteer guides. For one weekend a year, Bilbao opens its doors and presents an opportunity for residents and visitors to rediscover the city through its architecture and urbanism. Over the years, the festival has built a strong volunteer community, gathering around 450 people. Besides this, the festival boasts an inclusive programme and priority access for people with disabilities with more than 80% of buildings being accessible without architectural barriers.
