Open House Helsinki
Open House Helsinki
Open House Helsinki aims to inspire dialogue about the built environment. Its mission is to spark interest in architecture, broaden public awareness of urban spaces, and provide opportunities to explore exemplary cases of architecture, engineering, and urban planning and design.
The event highlights the importance of well-designed spaces in creating a sustainable and vibrant city, emphasising the collective responsibility of all stakeholders. This mission aligns with the objectives of Finland’s Architectural Policy Programme.
Initially launched as a one-day event in 2007, Open House Helsinki expanded to three days in 2009, earning an honourable mention in the Helsinki Culture Act 2009 competition. In 2024, the programme grows further, spanning four days. Open House Helsinki continues to champion architectural engagement and innovation.
