Open House Zagreb highlights the city’s architectural works, fostering dialogue between the public and professionals such as architects, builders, investors and building owners. The first edition of the festival was scheduled for October 20–22, 2023. The event offered access to over thirty public and private buildings including schools, churches, parks, ateliers, swimming pools, banks and whole neighbourhoods. The purpose of the festival is to facilitate discussions on architecture’s role in society and the environment, as well as to advocate for the conservation of heritage and the encouragement of innovative design in Zagreb. The event is organised by the Association for the Promotion of Architecture and Design.
