Building a collective identity in such a complex ecosystem as Lisbon is only possible by changing the current role of the built and unbuilt environment, renouncing the objective of unlimited population growth, and attending to the social relations of production and distribution of land, work, income, housing and culture. Returning to the local context means challenging the logic of growth in the search for harmony between humans and the environment as a new model of relations.
