Dialogue Between Eras
SelectedWhere Prague’s theatrical heritage meets radical contemporary vision, profound architectural dialogue unfolds. This series captures the tension between the National Theatre’s neo-Renaissance grandeur and the audacious glass geometry of its New Stage extension.
The convex facade (a crystalline skin of hundreds of glass blocks) transforms the nature of architectural conversation. Each surface becomes a lens, refracting light, reflections, and time itself. The ornate stonework finds its echo in this faceted mirror, creating an urban palimpsest where heritage and innovation write simultaneously.
Shot during Open House Praha 2025, these images reveal architecture’s power to collapse temporal boundaries. The glass blocks act as pixels in an urban screen, capturing fragments of the past while projecting future visions. Visitors become performers in this architectural theater, their movements bridging centuries.
