During the Open House Essen 2025 festival, my painting, GEWEITETE GEGENWART (Eng. EXPANDED PRESENT), was exhibited in the former Church of St. Gertrud Church—now the Creative Cathedral TRUDI. This location resonated perfectly with the work: once sacred, now transformed into a cultural venue, it embodies the dialogue between past and future, tradition and transformation.

In the painting, single elements intertwine almost mystically, playing between memory and possibility. Through it, I explore how both individual and collective imprints shape our thoughts, emotions and actions and to what extent our inner worlds define our being.
