Tallinn.
Doors of an old, unassuming warehouse open for one night in 2019.
Inside, people wander through a space that doesn’t let the eye rest – details draw them from every corner. That night was a party. Today it’s a movement. Club HALL was born.
Built in 1973 by the Soviet army for shipyard workers, the construction hosted archives, laboratories, a storage and an assembly room. Abandoned in the 1980s, it was meant to be demolished.
Today, it gathers artists, workers, newcomers. Around its dancefloor an electronic music scene grew, giving Tallinn a place on the global map.

Repurposing a place of oppression, people create a dialogue whereby a controversial heritage is transformed into the future through the present – on the dancefloor.

From a site of occupation and erasure, a space for belonging emerged.

From control to freedom, what once divided now unites.

Grey brick walls became a community.
