Bilbao es una ciudad que ha experimentado una profunda transformación urbana, social y cultural, y la ría ha sido testigo y protagonista de todo ese proceso. En esta se concentró la actividad industrial que marcó la identidad de la ciudad durante décadas, y hoy se ha convertido en un eje cultural. La ría refl eja con claridad la capacidad de reinvención de Bilbao, simbolizando su transición del pasado industrial al presente innovador. Con este proyecto me acerco a ella para observar cómo su evolución permanece viva y cómo continúa siendo un espacio de creación, cambio y futuro. Bilbao se sigue construyendo y creciendo alrededor de la ría.

Bilbao is a city that has undergone a profound urban, social and cultural transformation, and the estuary has been both witness and protagonist of this entire process. It was here that the industrial activity that shaped the city’s identity for decades was concentrated, and today it has become a cultural hub. The estuary clearly reflects Bilbao’s capacity for reinvention, symbolising its transition from an industrial past to an innovative present. With this project, I approach it to observe how its evolution remains alive and how it continues to be a space for creation, change and the future. Bilbao continues to build and grow around the estuary.
