Linnahall
Tallinn’s “Linnahall” (City hall) was build in soviet times to house concerts, ice hockey and other events, but today it’s falling apart due to being neglected since Estonia’s independence was restored. Today, it’s a building that half of the citizens hate, because of its history and looks – soviet occupation and brutalism, and the other half love, mostly because of the nostalgia it brings them. The government still hasn’t decided if the building is going to be renovated or demolished, both options are costly. These photos show what Linnahall looks like and that you can find beauty in ugliness and ugliness in beauty.
