The video was made as part of a university course in which we had to capture the local genius of a given
area. The topic is related to monument conservation and Brno’s history.
The video tells the story of a fictional character – a textile factory worker. The story begins at the place where the workers learned their trade, at the textile school (now the Secondary School of Art and Design). The next stop was a dilapidated building, where workers met and protested. The building has been razed
and another apartment building is being built on the site. The last stop was the Pavilion House, where the workers were with their families.
The video aims to briefly introduce the viewer to the important history of the textile industry in Brno.
