The House of the Lords of Lipá, also known as Schwanza House or Schwanza Palace, is one of the most beautiful Renaissance houses in Brno and one of the oldest preserved buildings in our city.

It is built on what were originally two medieval townhouses. It was built between 1243 and 1260 and already at the end of the 13th century it suffered considerable fire damage. Since then, many influential people have changed hands as owners of the house.
Nowadays we can find a small shopping gallery, cafes, restaurants and the headquarters of the Student Agency.

It is a beautiful example of the sustainability and use of a single house over several centuries.
