Unbuilt Space Between
“Unbuilt Space Between” explores the fragile, unfinished moments between what was and what is yet to come. The work reflects how both physical and emotional spaces hold traces of transformation — quiet intervals where healing, loss, and renewal overlap. Layered textures and soft transitions of light suggest an inner architecture built of pause, breath, and light — a place not yet built, yet already alive, quietly becoming part of what we call heritage.
Inspired by Future Heritage and the dialogue between the ruins and the renewed architecture of Pirita Convent, the piece considers how every act of rebuilding — physical or emotional — carries memory within it. It suggests that what we leave incomplete — our hesitations, thresholds, and intangible emotional architectures — may be as valuable as what we construct. Heritage is not only what endures, but what breathes in the spaces between past and future.
