We Are Here is a one-minute visual poem constructed from still images and text. Filmed around boarded-up buildings and neglected sites, the work reflects on absence, resilience, and renewal. A simple, slightly off-key piano score moves the viewer forward — its wrong notes creating tension and release, echoing how aging architecture holds dissonance within its beauty. Each phrase — I live here. I work here. We dance here. — reimagines these forgotten exteriors as spaces of memory and potential. We Are Here finds harmony in imperfection, suggesting that even decay can become part of a new and resonant song.
